Well I started my fist college class tonight... I dont know what to think of it.. Its a math class, i like it cause its not lecture its on the computer, self paced. But while i was doing the lessons tonight i got so frustrated cause I havent done this stuff in years and it seemed like it was taking me forever to get it done. The next three months of my life are going to be very difficult. I just hope that I do ok and get the credit.
Well I hope everyone has a good weekend..

dont forget to wear red on friday,,,support our troops... if you have a loved one over there, then you should really wear red, if you dont.. just please do it.. they need our support, if they have our support there mission will get done faster and safer.. the only reason why we have troops in iraq is for our freedom, its not to kill U.S soldiers and our families... its for US... the usa... so support them, cause in the end they are saving your ass... and if you have some shit to say about it... reply back... or go join the military and do it yourself, or run for president... if you dont do any of those...seriously shut the fuck up, cause frankly me and all the other people that support the military are sick and tired of people complaining or running there mouth, sayin shit about the troops... im not afraid to stand up for what i believe in... and niether should yall..

so wear red on friday and support the people that are dying for what they believe in and saving us...

one for all and all for one.... support the military, support the troops in iraq, support the usa, and most of all support each other....

the radio

On the way to work every morning, i tune to one of my favorite radio stations to listen to the talk. This morning they were having people call in to read off old text messages. LOVE ones, of course everyone had there diffrent stories. SOme where cheesy and some were very sweet. Well one lady came on and was talking about how her husband sent her a text message as he was boarding the plane to go to Iraq, she read it off and it was soo sweet. Then the radio guys were talking about the war and things like that. It really touched me, especailly since no one ever talkes about it anymore. And how are guys are forgotten about, well not by us but the people. The war is not over, no where near. We need the support and its going to take us to make it happen...

Read this..

Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest act's of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camo's, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal. Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said "hi," the little girl then she asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young soldier, he didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up. When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, "I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you." He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying "your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon."

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event unfolded. As the soldiers began to leave, heading t owards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, their were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's good to be an American.

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops.
Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is...We need your support and your prayers.

Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every Friday.

dont forget to wear red on friday

when its done

Dang its been a while, life here in the Big D is fast and slow at the same time.. some moments i feel like im moving so fast that i barely have time to sit down. but here latley i feel like im moving so slow like everything around me is not moving. I got the job offer, im sooo excited.. I dont know when i start but hopefully here really soon. then hopefully things wil be back to normal again, well as normal as they can be with seth being gone. saying that... seth... he is doing great, he is gaining weight which is really good cause he was getting really skinny, his job is going ok, like he says i just do it, day by day goes by and I keep going, i think the only thing thats not driving me crazy is knowing that at the end of the day i get to talk to my beautiful wife.. gosh he is sooo darn sweet... hehe.. well the deployment is going by, really fast actually, kinda weird how fast its going. we have like 20 weeks left.. wow.. i sooo can not wait.. hehe
i cant wait till i get to hug and kiss that punk of mine..hehe, it will be sooo GREAT..

but my biggest problem of my days latley, is seths and i's one year anniversary is coming up in less then a month, i have no freaking idea what to send him for it. I guess the worst thing is that he is not here, but whats new right...lol.
i Just get puzzled when i start thinking about what to get him.. i send him care packages every week so that gets old, what do you send to someone in iraq. nothing nice cause you dont want it to get ruined or stolen, and at the same time you want something nice for him.
Seth and I talked about maybe following the traditional gift ideas, the first ann. is paper, ok thats great but what do i get now.. hehe.. A card well i think he deserves a lil more then a card..
wow its got me swamped.. any suggestions...lol

well im off to bed, its been a long day
well to all my readers, thanks for all of your comments and sorry im soo bad about commenting back

a Scare..

WEll im finally updating..
So its been a while, things have been extremely busy around here. Which is a good and a bad thing i guess. Work is going good, keeping me busy and my mind off of thinking about seth being gone so much. Lets just say i know im tired at the end of the day when i get home. on to the story.
I am at work on Friday, usually by 10 am my phone starts making text noises, i flip it open and its my wonderful husband texting his daily i love you messages.. well friday, i look down at my clock on my phone and its 12, and wondering why seth hasnt texted me yet. At that same moment my phone makes a noise.. yeah i have a text. so i open it up thinking that its sethand its from our friend gabe, seths friend who is stationed with him in Iraq. He was like good morning Kate how are you, i said doing fine where is seth. He said i dont know.. well by this time i am kind of worried but knowledgable about what can happen over there. but for his friend to not know. So gabe and i contunied to talk and time went by. Well seth never got on. So its about 3 and my phone rings and its a 405 number not a clue who it could be, so i pick up( most military wifes and moms know what im talking about, the phone is glued to them and they pick it up whenever it rings no matter what..) and the lady on the other end was like hi my name is so and so from the Red Cross, my heart sinks.. my stomach turns and i have this weird feeling.. but thinking in the back of my mind, well red cross doesnt call you when something happens to a soldier they usually come to your house. well anyways she ask who it was on the phone and I told her my name and then she said is this your phone number and i was like yeah my cell. then she said thanks you have a nice day and hung up. I was freaked, i started crying at work. scared out of my mind. So anyways i get home and my mil was like hey i talked to fred( soldier friend of hers) and he said its a hoix, not to believe it. But i called the number back and it said thank you for calling american red cross. so by this time im really freaked out. Well I get up on Saturday and go to work, and at 10 am my phone makes the text noise, and sure enough it was my sweetie, the power went out in his room so he just went to bed.. I was so relieved, hehe..
This Weekend:
This weekend was mothers day, after work on Saturday my cousin and I went out to kaufman county where seths nanny lives. We packed our bags, loaded the three wheeler and took off. We get down there and we start riding, we had a three wheeler and my brothers brand new four wheeler ( sweetness), then they cook dinner RIBS.. omg it was sooo good, so then me and caleb( my cuz) decide to go to wal-mart and get some stuff, well we end up getting beer...lol so we get back to the house put the tail gate down on the truck and stay up till three.. needless to say we missed breakfest and lunch we didnt get up till 1130... hehe then we went riding again, nanny has a lot of land so we go out on the back side of the property and just tear it up, mud holes and everything, i was filthy... omg it was sooo much fun!!!!
it just sucks cause seth isnt home to have the fun with us, but i told him not to worry cause we will have so much fun when he gets back home..
This weekend was awesome and I cant wait till tommorow, i have a date with seth with our webcams and voice chat.. i look forward to every monday.. were so lucky to have the things we have these days..
this iraq tour is half way over, and they talk like ther coming back early.. even though i take it with a grain of salt..but something to wish for and think about...there something special about military wives, if they get through a one year tour of iraq they can get through anything.. happy belated military spouse day.. were all in this together and im so thankful i have friends that are going through the same thing and are there for me.. hooaahh to military wives..
seth is my dream come true and ill never have to wake up from it..
143 seth..
